Goo Goo Dolls in Tour to new Album!!!

The Goo Goo Dolls have sold 9 million albums in the U.S. alone and have notched 17 “Top 10” singles since forming in 1986. The Grammy Award-winning rock band is touring in support of its new album,
"SOMETHING FOR THE REST OF US."

On Aug 31, at 3:00 PM PT Goo Goo Dolls perform a special show for an edition of Coffee House Live for SIRIUS XM listeners. The Coffee House Live special will feature the band performing songs from their newest album as well as chart-topping hits from their illustrious and acclaimed tenure as one of America's most enduring and endearing forces in rock.

The Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel is pleased to announce that Western New York’s own, the Goo Goo Dolls, will perform at the Seneca Allegany Events Center on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $65 and will go on sale to the public on Friday, Sept. 3 at noon.

"Iris" was originally written for the soundtrack of 1998 film City of Angels, the song was later included on the band's sixth album Dizzy Up the Girl. The acoustic guitar in the song gives a distinctive sound as it is in an odd tuning.

Sarah McLachlan : Laws of Illusion!!!

On June 15, 2010, the Grammy Award–winning singer and songwriter Sarah McLachlan will release of Laws of Illusion. This is Sarah’s first studio album of new material in seven years, since the double–platinum Afterglow in 2003, and its twelve songs rank with the most compelling work ever cre¬ated by this gifted artist.

For Sarah herself, this period was a time of profound change and renewed discovery. “I think when you go into a dark place for a while and you come out of it, the lightness you feel is…euphoric,” she told an Advocate.com interviewer in May 2010.

“Loving You Is Easy,” the first single from the album, is an upbeat, almost jaunty piano–based song, with a musical atmosphere perfectly matched to lyrics that describe the heady thrill of new love: “I’m alive and I’m on fire/Shot like a starburst into the sky…”

For many listeners, “Forgiveness” will be the centerpiece of Laws of Illusion. There is a wonderful subtlety in the arrangement, which builds inexorably from unaccompanied vocal–and–piano showcase to the layers of near–ambient guitar parts and finally a powerful coda completed by bass and drums. “Forgiveness,” says Sarah, “is about the loss of a relationship and drawing a line in the sand, saying: This is not good for me and I can’t do it anymore.”

Katy Perry talks about her Album and incoming song "Pearl"

"Teenage Dream" is a song by American recording artist Katy Perry. It is the second single from her second mainstream studio album of the same name. Perry and Bonnie McKee wrote many songs with a youthful theme in mind, but they were rejected by producers Benny Blanco and Dr. Luke. Blanco showed them The Teenagers's single "Homecoming", and McKee imagined "Teenage Dream" as a throwback song to the euphoric feelings of being in love as a teenager.

"Teenage Dream" is a midtempo pop song with a retro sound. Perry starts singing in a high voice and her vocals grow stronger as the song progresses. Lyrically it talks about being with a lover that makes one feel young again.

"It only took six months [to make Teenage Dream], which is like lightning speed," Perry said. "But I think that I wouldn't be starting again with this new record if I didn't feel like this was my best foot forward.

"I did one more song with [producer] Greg Wells, and it was called 'Pearl,' " she explained to MTV News about the track. "And it was kind of just like, 'All right, now I have this crown, and I have all these jewels, and I can put these little jewels into the crown, and I feel like it's a complete presentation, something I'm really proud of.' "

TAKE IT OFF
By Ke$ha

There's a place downtown where the freaks all come around
It's a hole in the wall it's a dirty free for all
When the dark of the night
Comes around that's the time
That the animal comes alive
Looking for something wild
N-now we lookin' like pimps in my gold trans-am
Got a water bottle full of whiskey in my handbag
Got my drunk text on i'll regret it in the mornin'
But tonight i don't give a i don't give a i don't give a
There's a place downtown where the freaks all come around
It's a hole in the wall it's a dirty free for all
And they turn me on when they take it off
When they take it off everybody take it off
There's a place i know if you're looking for a show
Where they go hardcore and there's glitter on the floor
And they turn me on when they take it off
When they take it off everybody take it off
Lose your mind lose it now
Lose your clothes in the crowd
We're delirious tear it down
'til the sun comes back around
Now we're getting so smashed knocking over trash cans
E'erbody breaking bottles it's a filthy hot mess
Gonna get faded i'm not the designated driver
So i don't give a i don't give a i don't give a
There's a place downtown where the freaks all come around
It's a hole in the wall it's a dirty free for all
And they turn me on when they take it off
When they take it off everybody take it off
There's a place i know if you're looking for a show
Where they go hardcore and there's glitter on the floor
And they turn me on when they take it off
When they take it off everybody take it off
Oh oh oh
Everybody take it off
Oh oh oh
Everybody take it off
Right now take it off
Right now take it off
Right now take it off
Oh
Right now take it off
Right now take it off
Right now take it off
Everybody take it off
There's a place downtown where the freaks all come around
It's a hole in the wall it's a dirty free for all
And they turn me on when they take it off

Any moment everything can change
Feel the wind on your shoulder
For a minute all the world can wait
Let go of your yesterday

Can you hear it calling?
Can you feel it in your soul?
Can you trust it's longing
And take control?

Fly, open up the part of you that wants to hide away
And you can shine, forget about the reasons
Why you can't in life and start to try
'Cause it's your time, time to fly

All your worries, leave them somewhere else
Find a dream you can follow
Reach for something when there's nothing left
And the world's feeling hollow

Can you hear it calling?
Can you feel it in your soul?
Can you trust it's longing
And take control?

Fly, open up the part of you that wants to hide away
And you can shine, forget about the reasons
Why you can't in life and start to try
'Cause it's your time, time to fly

And when you're down and feel alone
Just want to run away
Trust yourself and don't give up
You know you're better than anyone else

Any moment everything can change
Feel the wind on your shoulder
For a minute all the world can wait
Let go of yesterday

Fly, open up the part of you that wants to hide away
And you can shine, forget about the reasons
Why you can't in life and start to try

Fly, forget about the reasons
Why you can't in life and start to try
'Cause it's your time, time to fly

Any moment everything can change

"ASYLUM" The Generation of "Down with the sickness"

Asylum is the upcoming fifth studio album by American heavy metal rock band Disturbed. Taking inspiration from other aspects of lead singer David Draiman's life (as well as various world conditions), Asylum is meant to take a fresh direction in the band's music career, while remaining consistent with the band's previous albums. The album is currently set to be released on August 31, 2010 in the United States through Reprise Records. A tour in support of the album, titled the Asylum Tour, will commence in late August 2010.

The 75 + minute film, directed by Rafa Alcantara of TWENTYFOURCORE Productions, candidly captures the band's ten-year history, with extensive behind the scenes and never before seen footage. "It basically tells the story of the band, from its inception to present day, says front man David Draiman." The band has had its share of ups and downs along the way and I think we tried to be as open and honest about all of it as we could. It's very insightful and we hope its something the fans will appreciate."

Kanye West: Debut "Power" Music Video!!!

Kanye Omari West is an American rapper, singer, and record producer. West first rose to fame as a producer for Roc-A-Fella Records, where he eventually achieved recognition for his work on Jay-Z's album The Blueprint, as well as hit singles for musical artists including Alicia Keys, Ludacris, and Janet Jackson. His style of production originally used pitched-up vocal samples from soul songs incorporated with his own drums and instruments. However, subsequent productions saw him broadening his musical palette and expressing influences encompassing '70s R&B, baroque pop, trip hop, arena rock, folk, alternative, electronica, synth-pop, and classical music.

The video began with the chanting of the gospel-tinged record, and while the image of West was still, the camera pulled away from the digitized fixture to reveal multiple women, some saints and some sinners. The video was rife with religious references; Brambilla said the rapper admired his previous efforts, which combined sexual overtones with religious imagery.

"The whole idea of celebrity, the idea of power, the idea of sensuality in it, there's sexuality in it as well, and those were all kind of themes that I've explored in my work before. Once I heard the album, that was what clinched it, and I felt very much in tune with the message behind the music." Brambilla told MTV.

Lil Wayne feat. Drake, “Right Above It”

The Cash Money Records superstar called the radio station from jail and said his single was recorded before turning himself in for his year long sentence. In an interview with radio personality Funkmaster Flex, Wayne said that he will release his EP on his birthday, September 27.

"Yes, it's gonna drop before Carter IV, only on the Internet," Wayne said. "This is stuff that I recorded right before I came here."

Who really tryna fuck with Hollywood Cole? I’m with Marley G, bro
Flying Hollygrove chicks to my Hollywood shows
And I’m tryna tell you something that you prolly should know
This that Slumdog Millionaire Bollywood flow
My real friends never hearin’ from me
Fake friends write the wrong answers on the mirror for me
That’s why I pick and choose, I don’t get shit confused
I got a small circle, I’m not with different crews
We walk the same path, but got on different shoes
Live in the same building, but we got different views
I got a couple cars I never get to use
Don’t like my women single, I like my chicks in twos
And these days all the girls is down to roll
I hit the strip club and all them bitches find the floor
Plus I just sipped and so this shit is movin’ kinda slow
Just tell my girl to tell her friend that it’s time to go

(Lil Wayne)

Now tell me how you love it
You know you at the top when only heaven’s right above it
We on
It’s Young Money, motherfucker
If you ain’t runnin’ wit it, run from it, motherfucker, all right

Now somebody show some money in this bitch
And I got my bees with me like some honey in this bitch, ya dig?
I got my gun in my boo purse
And I don’t bust back, because I shoot first

Meet me on the fresh train
Yes, I’m in the building, you just on the list of guest names
And all of my riders do not give a fuck, X Games
Guns turn you boys into pussies, sex change
And I smoke ’til I got chest pains
And you niggas know I rep my gang like Jesse James
Women all possessive, and they wanna possess Wayne
I been fly so long I fell asleep on the fuckin’ plane
Skinny pants and some Vans
Call me Triple A, get my advance in advance, amen
As the world spin and dance in my hands
Life is a beach, I’m just playin’ in the sand
Uh, wake up and smell the pussy
You niggas can’t see me, but never overlook me
I’m on the paper trail, it ain’t no tellin’ where it took me
Yeah, and I ain’t a killa, but don’t push me

Now tell me how you love it
You know you at the top when only heaven’s right above it
We on

If you ain’t runnin’ wit it, run from it, motherfucker, all right

I got my gun in my boo purse
And I don’t bust back, because I shoot first

How do he say what’s never said?
Beautiful black woman, I bet that bitch look better red
Limpin’ off tour ’cause I made more off my second leg
Ma’fuckin’ Birdman Junior, eleventh grade
Ball on automatic start
I could hand it to Drake or do a quarterback draw
Wildcat offense, check the paw prints
We in the building, you niggas in apartments
N-now, c’mon, be my blood donor
Flow so nice, she ain’t gotta put a rug on her
Do it big, and let the small fall under that
Damn, where you stumbled out?
From where they make gumbo at

You know me, I get on this bitch and have a heart attack
Hip-hop, I’m the heart of that, nigga, nothin’ short of that

Jennifer Lopez: Next American Idol Judge and News

She explained to Glamour magazine: "I'm the one who keeps everybody on schedule, like, 'Got to go to bed at this time, got to eat something.' I was talking about this with somebody - they asked, 'Do you still love working?' I said, 'I just do it quicker.' I don't have all the time in the world anymore."

Although Jennifer always planned to go back to work after having her twins, she now feels guilty when she leaves them.

She said: "In my mind I first felt like, 'Oh, I'll be back to work right after the babies are born.' But then you don't want to. Even now, it's very difficult for me to leave them in the morning. It just tortures me. I'm like, 'It's been hours; are they wondering where I am? Do they know that I love them so much and I'm thinking only about them?' "

Jennifer Lopez has inked a deal to join American Idol‘s judging panel for its upcoming 10th season, an industry source tells People. The news dropped just hours after Ellen DeGeneres confirmed her exit from the show, despite having only served one year of a reported multi-season deal. Lopez served as an Idol mentor on Latin night during the show’s sixth season, garnering generally positive reviews for her warm, candid style, and her ability to extract a not entirely terrible performance of “Bésame Mucho” from widely maligned contestant Sanjaya Malakar.

"Half of My Heart": John Mayer and Taylor Swift!!!

Half oF My Heart features more of a pop rock sound than Mayer's previous music. His previous albums explored blues and acoustic rock, especially in his 2006 album Continuum. It also has a carefree, sing-along sound to it. The lyrics of the song are sung by both John Mayer and Taylor Swift. Swift sings with Mayer in the chorus and in the song's bridge. The lyrics are about the duo, with half of their hearts saying they should continue to love each other, although the other half says they are not each other's true love, and cannot keep loving each other.

I was born in the arms of imaginary friends
Free to roam, made a home out of everywhere I've been

Then you come on crashing in
Like the realest thing
Trying my best to understand
All that your love can bring

Oh, half of my heart's got a grip on the situation
Half of my heart takes time
Half of my heart's got a right mind
To tell you that I can't keep lovin' you, can't keep lovin' you
Oh, with half of my heart

I was made to believe I'd never love somebody else
Made a plan, stay the man who can only love himself

Lonely was the song I sang
'Til the day you came
Showing me another way
And all that my love can bring

Oh, half of my heart's got a grip on the situation
Half of my heart takes time
Half of my heart's got a right mind
To tell you that I can't keep lovin' you, can't keep lovin' you
Oh, with half of my heart, with half of my heart

Your faith is strong, but I can only fall short for so long
Down the road, later on
You will hate that I never gave more to you
Than half of my heart

But I can't stop lovin' you, I can't stop lovin' you
I can't stop lovin' you, I can't stop lovin' you,
I can't stop lovin' you with half of my
Half of my heart, oh half of my heart

Half of my heart's got a real good imagination
Half of my heart's got you
Half of my heart's got a right mind to tell you
That half of my heart won't do

Half of my heart is a shot gun wedding
To a bride with a paper ring
And half of my heart is the part of a man
Who's never truly loved anything

Half of my heart, oh half of my heart
Half of my heart, oh half of my heart
Half of my heart, oh half of my heart
