Jennifer Lopez: Next American Idol Judge and News

She explained to Glamour magazine: "I'm the one who keeps everybody on schedule, like, 'Got to go to bed at this time, got to eat something.' I was talking about this with somebody - they asked, 'Do you still love working?' I said, 'I just do it quicker.' I don't have all the time in the world anymore."

Although Jennifer always planned to go back to work after having her twins, she now feels guilty when she leaves them.

She said: "In my mind I first felt like, 'Oh, I'll be back to work right after the babies are born.' But then you don't want to. Even now, it's very difficult for me to leave them in the morning. It just tortures me. I'm like, 'It's been hours; are they wondering where I am? Do they know that I love them so much and I'm thinking only about them?' "

Jennifer Lopez has inked a deal to join American Idol‘s judging panel for its upcoming 10th season, an industry source tells People. The news dropped just hours after Ellen DeGeneres confirmed her exit from the show, despite having only served one year of a reported multi-season deal. Lopez served as an Idol mentor on Latin night during the show’s sixth season, garnering generally positive reviews for her warm, candid style, and her ability to extract a not entirely terrible performance of “Bésame Mucho” from widely maligned contestant Sanjaya Malakar.
