Asylum is the upcoming fifth studio album by American heavy metal rock band Disturbed. Taking inspiration from other aspects of lead singer David Draiman's life (as well as various world conditions), Asylum is meant to take a fresh direction in the band's music career, while remaining consistent with the band's previous albums. The album is currently set to be released on August 31, 2010 in the United States through Reprise Records. A tour in support of the album, titled the Asylum Tour, will commence in late August 2010.The 75 + minute film, directed by Rafa Alcantara of TWENTYFOURCORE Productions, candidly captures the band's ten-year history, with extensive behind the scenes and never before seen footage. "It basically tells the story of the band, from its inception to present day, says front man David Draiman." The band has had its share of ups and downs along the way and I think we tried to be as open and honest about all of it as we could. It's very insightful and we hope its something the fans will appreciate."
